A recent gift from veteran musician Paul Okoye to his fiancée, Ivy Ifeoma, has stirred up controversy on social media.
Paul, who recently announced that he and Ivy are expecting a child, reportedly gifted her a brand-new Range Rover to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby.
However, not everyone was impressed by this grand gesture. An internet user going by the name Oriretan took to social media to criticize Ivy for accepting such an expensive gift. Oriretan suggested that Ivy should return the car and use the money to help those in need, particularly orphans.
The critic argued that accepting the car could be seen as showing off and potentially upsetting Paul’s ex-wife. Oriretan wrote, “Ivy, it’s unwise being happy to receive this costly car as birthing gift instead of sowing it in life of orphans/needies since this is your first child.” He went on to suggest that accepting the gift showed a lack of financial responsibility, which he deemed essential for a good wife and mother.
In a surprising turn of events, Ivy Ifeoma responded to the criticism. Her cryptic reply simply stated, “I say… If you know, you know)”.
