The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won all local government and councillorship positions in the recently concluded election
OSSIEC Chairman Hashim Abioye made the announcement during a Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday evening. He stated that PDP candidates secured victory in all 332 ward councillorship seats and won the chairmanship elections in all 30 local government council areas.
DAILY POST previously reported that the election commenced as scheduled on Saturday morning. However, Abioye later raised concerns that security personnel had sealed off the commission’s headquarters, preventing the delivery of most electoral materials to polling stations.
