David Pecker, former National Enquirer boss, confessed at Donald Trump’s trial that he buried a tale of an alleged affair to boost Trump’s 2016 election bid,
even though it would’ve sold a lot of papers.
Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, claimed she had a fling with Trump, but Pecker shelved the story to help Trump’s campaign. Despite paying McDougal, Pecker kept quiet, fearing it could harm Trump’s chances against Hillary Clinton.
This revelation strengthens claims that Pecker worked with Trump to bury scandals. The trial, accusing Trump of falsifying records to cover up hush money paid to Stormy Daniels, is ongoing. Witnesses, like Rhona Graff and banker Gary Farro, shed light on Trump’s alleged dealings.
Trump’s lawyer questioned Pecker’s credibility, but Pecker stands by his testimony. The trial resumes soon, with the spotlight still on Trump’s actions.
