Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire, wife of actor Freddie Leonard, has stirred intense reactions online after sharing a deeply emotional story that many believe reflects her personal life.
In a lengthy post, Peggy posed a painful question to her followers, detailing a scenario of betrayal, deception, and emotional manipulation within a marriage.
She wrote:
“What would you do if you found out that the man you were dating was sleeping with a married woman who has kids?”
According to her, the relationship allegedly started before marriage. When she confronted the man, he denied any wrongdoing.
“You asked him about it, but he completely denied it, saying they were just friends and you believed him.”
Trusting his explanation, she said the woman went on to marry him.
“Eventually, you got married to him.”
However, she revealed that the alleged affair did not end after the wedding.
“Your husband always hypes this married woman in public, but privately, he tells you how ‘local’ his so-called friend is, just to manipulate you and make sure you don’t suspect anything.”
Peggy stated that the truth later surfaced through undeniable proof.
“But one day, as God would have it, you found solid evidence, proof that your husband and the woman were never just friends.
He had been sleeping with her.”
She further alleged that the two met frequently and secretly.
“They constantly meet either in his apartment when he goes to work or in hotels.”
“She also leaves her husband’s house to meet him in his apartment or in hotels.”
In what many found particularly disturbing, Peggy said the same man openly criticized others while engaging in the same behavior.
“Yet this same man judges and castigates single women who sleep with married men.”
She also claimed the situation began to affect her marriage directly.
“Not long after getting married, you noticed he started comparing you to his married side chick.”
According to her, the deception extended beyond secret meetings.
“You later found out that he even visits her at home without her husband’s knowledge.”
“On some occasions, he visits while her husband is around, because the woman’s husband also believes your husband is just friends with his wife.”
Peggy added that the woman was fully present in their lives.
“This same married woman even attended your wedding, and you had no problem with it at the time because you thought they were just friends.”
She concluded with another revelation that shocked many readers.
“But now you have evidence of both of them meeting in hotels, doing things they shouldn’t be doing, and your so-called husband telling her how much he misses her, while he is still married to you.”
Ending her post with a direct question, Peggy asked:
“Would you remain married to such a man?”
