TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has opened up about his decision to convert from Islam to Christianity, attributing it to traumatic experiences during his childhood
Speaking during a live session with his fans, Peller recalled his early years at a Quranic school, locally known as ‘Ile Kewu’, where he said he endured severe physical punishment.
The experience, he revealed, left a deep emotional scar and ultimately influenced his decision to abandon the Islamic faith.
“I’m not a Muslim. I’m a Christian. I go to church,” he declared. “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic School. That’s why I stopped going.”
Peller said the trauma not only pushed him away from religious education but also played a significant role in shaping his spiritual journey.
His revelation came shortly after news of his engagement went viral on social media, with his girlfriend confirming their relationship.
