Reports from Spain reveal that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have ended their relationship after three decades together

The separation, described as “completely amicable,” was first reported by Spanish outlet Sport.
Guardiola and Serra, who married near Barcelona in 2014, first met in 1994 and share three children: Maria (24), Marius (22), and Valentina (17). According to reports, Serra lived full-time in Barcelona while Guardiola remained in Manchester for his managerial duties.
Serra, a Brazilian journalist and writer, reportedly decided to separate in December 2023. The news was initially shared only with close friends and family, who have been asked to respect the couple’s privacy. Despite their split, sources state that their relationship remains “stable, amicable, and friendly.”
Serra has been a steadfast supporter throughout Guardiola’s illustrious career, including Manchester City’s historic Treble win in 2023. She was present at the Champions League final in Istanbul and joined Guardiola at Wimbledon in July.
In 2019, Serra moved out of Manchester to focus on managing her family’s fashion business, Serra Claret.
The news of their separation comes as Manchester City faces one of its most challenging seasons under Guardiola. Recently, a video surfaced showing the manager expressing frustration with autograph seekers outside his home.
Despite speculation about his future, Guardiola extended his contract with City in November, committing to remain as manager until 2027.
