Nigerian singer and songwriter Peruzzi has shared a deeply personal account of a period in his life marked by grief, transition, and unexpected support from fellow music star Davido.
According to him, the death of his mother left him emotionally shattered at a time when his career path was still taking shape.
He explained that it was during this vulnerable phase that he first crossed paths with Davido in Dubai, a meeting that would eventually reshape both his personal life and professional journey.
He described how their connection quickly moved beyond music industry familiarity into something more intimate and supportive.
In his words:
“I just lost my mom when I met Davido; we bonded on a true brotherly level. I met him in Dubai, and before I came back to Lagos, they had already moved my properties to his house in Lagos, and I was there for 2 years plus”.
Peruzzi’s account paints a picture of immediate trust and acceptance, as he says arrangements were already in motion before his return to Nigeria, leading to an extended stay at Davido’s Lagos residence that lasted over two years.
