Peter Obi, a former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has shared his life plans after politics and business

Speaking on Friday, Obi revealed that he intends to retire to Onitsha as a secondary school teacher to inspire young students.
He made this known while addressing final-year students of Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha, in celebration of the International Day of Education.
“I was just passing by when I decided to mark the International Day of Education here with you. I told myself there was a need for me to come here and speak to students,” Obi said.
He added, “Education is the most important thing in your life. It is the most important capital and equipment you need to be successful. That you are here is a sign that you’re already a success.
“I’m here to encourage you. You are acquiring the best, and some of you are potential governors and presidents. You must take your education seriously.
“In 1970, I stood at this school’s gate to salute General Gowon during his visit and joined other children to sing for him. Through education, I grew to the point where I sat with him at the same table and made decisions.
“I hope to retire to Onitsha someday and take up a teaching job to inspire children,” Obi concluded.
He also noted that the school’s 100th anniversary was approaching, further emphasizing its historical significance.
