He condemned the attack, describing it as a senseless act, and expressed sadness and horror at the incident.

Obi’s visit aimed to show solidarity and support for the victims and hospital staff. He commended the hospital management and urged the country to stand together against such senseless acts.

“This attack is truly horrific and condemnable. It’s heartbreaking to see such violence occur in our nation. We must stand together to condemn this senseless act and support the victims and their families.

“My visit today is to show solidarity and support for the victims and hospital staff. I commend the hospital management for their efforts and urge all Nigerians to come together to fight against such senseless acts of violence.”

The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Husseini Muhammad, reported that 23 victims were received, with 15 fatalities and eight receiving medical treatment.

He praised Obi’s visit, which he said symbolizes national unity and solidarity. Seven patients were in Surgical Ward C, and one was in critical condition in the Mother ICU.

Obi’s visit demonstrates his commitment to supporting those affected by violence and promoting national unity in the face of senseless attacks.
