Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has confidently declared that Peter Obi will soon defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Speaking in an interview on TVC, Bwala asserted that the ruling party is steadily draining the Labour Party (LP) as its key figures continue to cross over.
> “Do you know we are emptying the Labour Party? It’s not because we go and ask them to come; they are coming. Valentine Ozigbo has joined us. Balami has joined us. Even Peter Obi will join us.”
Bwala suggested that Obi would not contest the 2027 election under LP, hinting that any opposition coalition would crumble due to internal conflicts.
As of now, Peter Obi and the Labour Party have not responded to Bwala’s bold claim.
