Phone Charger Catches FIRE On Busy Flight
Plane passengers have screamed in panic after a phone charger caught fire on a busy flight.
Two people were injured when the portable device erupted in flames as the aircraft was preparing to take off in Taiwan.
The flight from Taoyuan International Airport was due to fly to Singapore when the incident occurred.
A power bank spontaneously ignited and filled the cabin with smoke, forcing all 189 passengers and crew to evacuate.
two passengers suffering minor injuries.
One of them was the owner of the rechargeable power bank, which exploded when it overheated, causing the fire.
The other was reportedly his companion.
Both received a medical assessment but did not require any hospital treatment and they were cleared for travelling.
