Late Habeeb
Habeeb Arowora who died on the 3rd of Dec., 2013
at Ikeja General hospital has been buried according to Muslim rites and a 8th
day prayer ceremony was held for him last week Sunday. It was said that the house help forgot to turn the gas
cooker off properly after using it in his home, at Abraham Adesanya estate. On getting
home, Mr. Habeeb went into the kitchen, turned on the gas cooker and it
exploded, giving him severe injuries. He was said to have spent 2 weeks in the
hospital before giving up the ghost. A lot of his close friends and dignitaries
including, Alhaji Olohunwa and wife, Rasheed Muri-Okunola, fuji act Sule Alao Malaika and others all graced the occasion. He is survived by his
only sibling, sister and his 8-year old daughter, whom he never met because she was
born in London and lived there with her mum. Though they would have met, but
there was a misunderstanding between the two lovers. Habeeb was into properties, automobiles
