Barrister Jefferson Uwoghiren has narrated what happened today at the High Court, Sapele Road, in Benin City, after a man was sentenced to death. According to him, the suspect was sentenced to death for armed robbery. Upon hearing the judgement, he decided to kill himself, but court officials quickly prevented him.
The convicted suspect was filmed crying and lamenting as he laid on the ground before being taken to prison along with another suspect. Hopefully another person thinking of committing a crime now will see this an repent. More photos below…
