The police in Kaduna this morning used live bullets to
disperse angry youths who were protesting the appointment of the interim
caretaker chairman of Chikun Local Government area, Hajiya Hadiza Yahuza. It
was said that the youths were angry over her appointment and took to the
streets to protest. So many youths were however injured while trying to scamper
for safety when police opened fire.
