The Nasarawa State correspondent of Daily Trust, Hir Joseph
will be regretting ever stepping into the venue where Governor Al-Makura of
Nasarawa State was sworn in today. Joseph who had earlier wrote that Al-Makura shouldn’t
be sworn-in as the state governor was pounced on by some thugs believed to be
working for the governor while the governor was taking his oath of office. It
took the intervention of the police to rescue Joseph who had already been
beaten badly by the thugs. Some of his colleagues who also questioned the thugs
were also harassed. See a photo of Joseph lying helplessly on the floor after
the cut.
