Reality star Phyna has opened up about the ongoing health crisis involving her sister, accusing the Dangote Group of reneging on a prior agreement to fly her sister abroad for medical treatment
The ex-BBNaija star had previously raised an alarm after her sister was critically injured when she was struck by a Dangote truck, leaving her unconscious. In a recent update, Phyna revealed that her sister remains unresponsive.
Phyna explained that she had been in regular communication with the Dangote Group, sharing medical updates about her sister. However, when she suggested arranging for her sister to be flown abroad for care, she said the company requested a report from the hospital where her sister is currently receiving treatment, claiming they could not manage her at their facility.
She expressed frustration over the move, stressing that there had been a prior agreement to stabilize her sister locally before preparing her for transfer abroad. Phyna said:
“We had an agreement that my sister would just be brought to Lagos to be stabilized before traveling. I already asked the hospital’s MD if my sister can be moved—he said yes. That should have been their question. She cannot be treated fully in Nigeria. Yet they’re asking for a report stating the hospital cannot handle her. It’s unnecessary stress. My sister’s condition is critical—her lungs have fluid, her reproductive organs are crushed, her bladder is damaged. We are praying every day she survives to the next, and now they’re trying to outsmart me.”
Phyna added that despite preparing all documents for her sister’s travel, the Dangote Group’s sudden demands have stalled the process. She emphasised that her primary concern remains her sister’s health, refusing to compromise her life over bureaucratic delays.
