Phyna has issued a retraction and apology following a video of her calling some policemen k!dnappers for trying to move her cameraman away
The BBNaija winner addressed the controversy, explaining that her earlier statement in which she referred to certain men as kidnappers was incorrect and made in the heat of the moment.
According to her, the situation began when her cameraman was searched and an item described as a “crusher” was allegedly found in his bag. She said this led to further checks, during which a small quantity of weed was also discovered.
Phyna stated that the substance was not significant, describing it as “a small weed” and suggesting it may have been partially used.
She added that the discovery led to her cameraman’s arrest, although she confirmed that the matter has now been resolved.
“I’m here to quickly debunk the video I made this morning where I called those men kidnappers. What happened was a crusher was found in my cameraman’s bag. While we were at that, they found a small weed that he has smoked, maybe half of it in his pocket. They found that and that was why he was arrested and now the matter has been resolved,” she said.
