The Abia State Police Command has arrested the man captured in a video a.ssaulting a woman
The suspect was apprehended by operatives of the Violent Crimes Response Unit (VCRU) led by CSP Emeka Amanchukwu on Saturday in the Ogbor Hill area of Aba.
According to the police, the arrest followed credible intelligence received by the unit. Acting on the information, officers swiftly tracked down the suspect and took him into custody.
The VCRU reaffirmed its commitment to tackling v!olent cr!mes in the state, assuring residents that anyone found engaging in such acts would face the full weight of the law.
The unit also urged members of the public to continue providing useful information to security agencies to help maintain peace and security across Abia State.
