The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspected Eiye cult confraternity members and rescued one victim during an initiation event at the Malaka Quarters, at Owode Egba, in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state

These suspects, Olayiwola Akinsanya, Keji Sodipo, and Oluwaseyi Olabamiji were arrested after a report was made to the police, whose officers swung into action to apprehend them.
According to a police source on Tuesday, who was privy to the incident but was not allowed to speak to the media, a victim, Joshua Obiladem, who was about to be initiated that night, was rescued.
It was said that a knife and charms were recovered from them after their arrest, and they were currently in the custody of the police.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the event and said an investigation had begun and the remaining members of the cult group would be brought to book.
