Police Bust Fake CAC Centre In Lagos
Operatives of the Lagos Police Command have arrested five suspects over an alleged operation of a fake Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) centre at Jobi Fele Way, Alausa Business District, Ikeja.
The suspects, Gloria Ukaegbu, 28, Omolere Kayode, 30, Taiwo Ajayii, 34, Nwachukwu Brenda, 27, and Oluwatomisin Adebisi, 25, were apprehended by men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who acted on credible intelligence.
The police said hundreds of alleged fake registration documents were recovered from the place, adding that those arrested were held for alleged forgery and impersonation of CAC officials.
“The operatives recovered several forged CAC documents, a Toyota Sienna and a Toyota Matrix used as makeshift offices for their nefarious transactions,” spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, for further investigation.
