The Adamawa State Police Command has opened a full investigation into the sudden d3ath of 27-year-old law student, Ojajuni Ayomiposi, at the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus — the institution’s first recorded student d3ath in nearly two decades.

According to a statement released on Sunday night by the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the student, who hails from Ondo State, was discovered unconscious after scaling the school fence.

“The Adamawa State Police Command confirms the report of an unfortunate incident involving a 27-year-old student of the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus, identified as Ojajuni Ayomiposi,” the statement read.

Police said the incident occurred on December 6, 2025, around 11:30 a.m., when Ojajuni arrived on campus in a tricycle, appeared unsteady, and jumped over the fence into the hostel area. A security guard later found him vomiting and unconscious.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, admitted for emergency care, and later pronounced dead.

His remains have been placed in the hospital mortuary for autopsy as authorities work to determine what happened.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed detectives to conduct a comprehensive probe into the circumstances surrounding his death.
