The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) has made a significant breakthrough in the fight against cybercrime with the apprehension of Muhammed Zenabdin “M” on charges of criminal conspiracy and possession of suspected counterfeit currency amounting to $100,000.00

The arrest, which followed credible intelligence and a raid on a suspected cybercrime hideout in Garki II, FCT, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime in the country.

Despite the escape of other members of the criminal gang, Zenabdin was successfully apprehended during the operation.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, compelling evidence was discovered during the subsequent execution of a search warrant at the hideout.

This evidence included $100,000.00 in one-hundred-dollar bills believed to be counterfeits, sophisticated counterfeit detection equipment, international passports, mobile phones, and a luxury vehicle.

Adejobi confirmed that the suspect has provided confessional statements and valuable information to assist in the apprehension of other members of the gang.

He further stated that upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect(s) will face arraignment in court.
