Contrary to reports that 30 Commissioners of Police would be deployed
to Osun State for the governorship election, the Police said only eight
Commissioners of Police (CPs) would be deployed.
According to the Police, the senior Police officers who are expected
to supervise security arrangements in the state would man the eight Area
Commands and not each local government as reported.
The election is slated for 22nd September, 2018.
The clarification is contained in a statement in Abuja on Friday by the Force Spokesman, Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood.
