The war of words between controversial singer Portable and Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has taken a new turn, with both stars exchanging sharp jabs on social media

The clash began after Laide Bakare, in an interview with Legit.ng, dismissed Portable as a “dirty boy from Sango” and claimed she had never met him. She also stirred controversy by referring to Nigerian women who migrated to Libya as “call girls”—a statement that triggered Portable’s backlash.
In response, Portable accused the actress of looking down on struggling women and slammed her remarks as disrespectful. He took to social media to drag her publicly, questioning her credibility and motives.
Bakare, clearly unfazed, fired back in a post on Instagram, writing in Yoruba: “Portable, let your head be correct.”
Not one to back down, Portable responded with a provocative video. He declared his desire to sleep with the actress, claiming he knew she was no longer married. Initially calling her “Aunty Laide,” he later dropped the honorific, asking why he should continue respecting someone who disrespected him.
The Zeh Nation frontman didn’t stop there. He accused Bakare of inviting him to an event without paying, mocked her for calling herself a celebrity while allegedly being unable to cover basic costs, and insisted she wasn’t wealthy—adding that her supposed financial struggles were part of why he kept calling her out.
Portable justified his constant criticism by saying she started the feud with her comments about Libyan migrants. According to him, if she hadn’t made those remarks, he wouldn’t have responded.
The feud, now playing out in full public view, has drawn mixed reactions online. While some fans view it as unnecessary drama, others see it as a classic case of ego and pride clashing in the spotlight.
