Portable has criticised the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, for conferring a traditional chieftaincy title on activist VeryDarkMan (VDM)
The monarch recently honoured VDM with the title of Atayese of Yorubaland during a ceremony at his palace in Iwo, Osun State.

The controversial singer questioned the monarch’s decision, describing it as undeserved and making several remarks about both the king and the activist.
Speaking in Yoruba, the singer said, “Who gave you the authority that you are conferring another man with a title? Why will you give VeryDarkMan a chieftaincy title, a po.rnstar for that matter? Hope there’s nothing between you two. There was a time you were abusing the Ooni of Ife, who are you again?”
Portable also criticised the monarch’s traditional credentials and questioned VDM’s impact on society.
“Oba that you didn’t do tradition properly. Whose life did VeryDarkMan even transform that you are giving him such a title, ‘Ataseye’?” he said.
