Portable has claimed victory over rapper Speed Darlington in their highly anticipated celebrity boxing match
The bout, held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, came to an abrupt end when Speed Darlington failed to get up for the second round.
Officials quickly declared Portable the winner by technical knockout.
The clash was the result of weeks of online drama, after Speed Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at his event — an offer Portable publicly rejected, claiming his standard fee is N20 million. The tension escalated until both agreed to settle their differences in the ring.
Portable came out strong in the first round, delivering a flurry of punches that left Speed Darlington visibly shaken. As round two approached, the South-East rapper remained seated in his corner, unable to continue.
Shortly after the fight, a video stormed the internet showing Speed Darlington walking off stage with his arm wrapped in a bandage, sparking speculation about an injury that may have contributed to his early exit.
This win adds another notch to Portable’s growing reputation as a fierce contender in celebrity boxing, following his victory over actor Charles Okocha in 2023.
