Nigerian artist Portable received praise from his supporters for repairing the road in Sango-Ota.
He posted a video on Instagram showing his efforts to bring in a tractor to fix the poor road conditions. Portable mentioned his plan to buy a new “presidential motor” and pointed out the bad state of Nigerian roads, which could damage the vehicle.
He credited his financial success for funding the project and mentioned that he had previously stopped similar efforts after purchasing a G-Wagon but resumed to protect his new vehicle.
“Presidential motor. I have graded the road. My American motor mustn’t spoil because its mechanic isn’t available in Nigeria. If it spoils, who will repair it? It is a bad thing for Nigerian roads to spoil American motors. That’s why I have graded the road; I and others are doing it. It’s because I have money; that’s why I can repair the road. Although I used to repair the roads, I stopped. When I bought my G-wagon, I stopped. Now, I want to buy a presidential motor, and I have to repair the road.”
