Singer Portable has been remanded in prison as he failed to meet his bail conditions
The singer was remanded at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, Kwara State, after failing to meet the bail conditions set by an Upper Area Court.
He was granted N1 million bail, with two sureties required in like sum.

The court specified that one surety must be a high-ranking member of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), either the Chairman or Secretary, while the other must be a property owner in a Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ilorin with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.
The charges against Portable include criminal defamation of character, intimidation, inciting public disturbance, and cyberstalking.
These charges stem from a live Instagram video where Portable allegedly made disparaging remarks about senior artist Okunola Saheed Osupa, aka Osupa. Osupa filed a petition on March 21, 2025, and the case was documented under First Information Report (FIR) 117(1) CPC.
Portable’s release is contingent upon fulfilling the bail conditions.
The court has adjourned the case, emphasizing the importance of maintaining order and respect throughout the ongoing legal process.
