Portion of Apapa port access bridge caves in
There was confusion in the early hours of Wednesday when the Ijora bridge, a major Access road leading to the Apapa Port, caved in, causing serious traffic gridlock out of the port and crippling businesses.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) later cordoned off the failed section of the bridge and coordinated traffic through the remaining lane.
