In a video message released by the State House on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, President Bola Tinubu acknowledged the challenges Nigerians are facing due to the fuel subsidy removal and assured the nation that his administration is working towards a brighter future
The President admitted to an “avoidable lag” between the subsidy removal and the implementation of his plans, which has compounded the citizens’ pains.
He urged Nigerians to look beyond the current difficulties and have faith in his administration’s ability to deliver.
Tinubu highlighted his government’s commitment to making education more affordable and providing loans to higher education students in need.
He emphasized his administration’s principle of promoting the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
This is the second time President Tinubu has addressed Nigerians amidst the ongoing economic crisis, reassuring them that the country is on the verge of entering a “new and glorious dawn.”
He concluded by stating that he must get back to work to make this vision a reality.
