President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Mr. Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, as Special Adviser for Media and Public Communications (State House) on Thursday

Additionally, Tinubu appointed three others as Directors-General of various national agencies. This announcement was made in a statement from Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, titled, “President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General and One Special Adviser on Public Communication.”
The appointees include Mr. Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, and Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House).
Bwala, the new Special Adviser, is described as a lawyer and a respected public affairs analyst. Olopade, appointed as the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, is an experienced sports administrator and former commissioner of youth and sports in Ogun State. He also chaired the local organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a marketing communications professional and the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions. Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, appointed as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, previously served as Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
“The President encourages the newly appointed officers to serve with dedication, patriotism, and excellence,” the statement concluded.
