President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following an 18-day working visit and retreat in France and the United Kingdom

According to the State House media office, the presidential aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 9:50 p.m. on Monday.
Among those who welcomed the President were his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
Tinubu left Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2, spending time in Paris before reportedly heading to London two weekends ago.
The Presidency noted that throughout his stay abroad, the President remained in close contact with key officials and continued to issue directives on critical national matters, including security operations in certain states.
While in Paris, Tinubu met with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the U.S. Department of State. His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties to bolster regional security and drive sustainable economic development across Africa.
A major focus of the discussions was a joint initiative to foster peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo through multilateral collaboration and the involvement of regional actors.
