Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has taken legal action against Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, the mother of the late singer Mohbad, over alleged defamatory statements

Primeboy announced the lawsuit in an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 19, sharing a copy of the legal document filed at the Lagos High Court, Ikeja Judicial Division.
According to him, the lawsuit stems from a video interview Abosede granted on March 28, 2024, in which she allegedly made libelous and malicious statements against him. He claims the comments, which were published by multiple news outlets, were intended to damage his reputation.
In the legal document, Primeboy is demanding ₦50 million in damages for what he describes as “libelous, injurious, falsehood, and malicious statements” made against him.
The lawsuit follows recent calls by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, for the Nigeria Police Force to summon his younger son, Adura, and Mohbad’s partner, Omawunmi, to provide further insights into the singer’s death. Aloba expressed concerns over their silence, suggesting external influences might be preventing them from speaking out.
