Former manager of late Nollywood comic actor ‘Mr Ibu,’ Mr Dominic Nwuzor, has called on the Enugu State government to provide scholarships for the late actor’s children.
Nwuzor, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja, managed Mr Ibu for over 20 years until his death in March 2024. He urged the state government to include the actor’s children, who hail from Nkanu West, in its educational scholarship programs to help secure their future.

Mr Ibu’s ex-manager said:
““We have appealed for scholarship opportunities for the children, and will continue to do so, so that something can be done.
“His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, is a leader with a large heart and does not take lightly the education of the people, especially the vulnerable ones.
“We hope he will consider offering scholarships to the offspring of the man who used his talent to make the state proud across Africa and beyond,” he added.
Mr Ibu is celebrated as one of Nigeria’s most iconic comic actors, known for his impeccable timing, expressive facial gestures, and portrayals of clumsy or foolish characters.
