The Publisher of the Nigerian News Direct Newspaper, Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, and a former Political Editor of the Nigerian Tribune, Mr. Olawale Rasheed, have shown their interest in contesting the governorship election in Osun State in order to succeed the incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
While Ibiyemi declared his intention to contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress at a press briefing in Osogbo on Saturday, Rasheed, who is seeking the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party also made his intention known in Iwo while addressing his supporters in preparation for the race.
