Nollywood actress Rachael Okonkwo has paid a touching tribute to her late friend and colleague Junior Pope on the second anniversary of his passing.
Sharing her emotions on social media, she opened up about the enduring pain of losing him, describing it as one of the most difficult moments of her life. According to her, time has done little to erase the memories, as thoughts of him remain constant.
“Two years today, and not a single day has passed without you on my mind. Losing you was one of the hardest things life has ever handed me, and everyone around you.”
Reflecting on their bond, the actress emphasized that their relationship went far beyond the professional space. She described him as someone whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him, adding that his impact is still deeply felt.
She also remembered his character, noting that he was defined by kindness, love, and a pure heart qualities that continue to shape how she chooses to honor him.
“Oyom, you were not just my brother; you were a light, a strength, a beautiful soul who made life warmer just by being in it. You lived with kindness, love, and a heart so pure, and that’s how I choose to remember you always. Though you’re no longer here with us, your presence is still felt. Keep resting in peace, my brother. Till we meet again.”
