Veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has explained why he keeps much of his personal life away from the public.
Speaking in an interview on E!plash, Ramsey Nouah was asked whether his low-profile approach was a deliberate decision, considering how little he shares about his life outside acting.
He said it is a choice that allows him to focus more comfortably on his work.
In his words:
“It is, kind of. I’m able to work better with just being in the low, in the background than upfront. I feel safer in that lane. If I have a work or a job, I’ll promote the job. It is not about promoting myself, it is about the work. That’s why I am here to talk about the character I play, Tornado.”
He believes his work has already given audiences a chance to know him in the way he wants to be known. He believes the characters he has played and the years he has spent acting say enough about him as a performer.
Rather than making his personal life part of his public identity, he prefers to keep the attention on the films and roles he takes on.
He has spent more than two decades in Nollywood, with audiences getting to know him largely through the characters he has brought to the screen.
While some entertainers are comfortable putting their lives outside work in the spotlight, Nouah prefers a different approach. For him, being known for the work itself matters more than being constantly visible.
