Rapper Dominique Jones, known to fans as Lil Baby, was arrested Monday morning on an illegal firearm possession charge
Jones, 29, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, according to court records. Las Vegas police confirmed he was arrested at 5 a.m. on the Las Vegas Strip but did not provide additional information.
Representatives for Jones did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
His attorney told NBC affiliate KSNV of Las Vegas that Jones has a concealed carry permit in Georgia.
Jones posted a cash bond at an initial court appearance Tuesday.
It does not appear that he entered a plea based on court records.
His next hearing is Oct. 1.
