Residents of the community had been warned to stay indoors to
observe the curfew now imposed by community elders in order to carry out some
rituals for the regent to regain her freedom. The incident has also paralyzed
academic activities in the Adekunle Ajasin University, as lectures were
cancelled and students and staff advised to be very cautious. A lot of shops
were also closed. Today makes it two days that the regent has been kidnapped
with no words from the kidnappers to her community.
