The social media fallout comes amid Regina’s widely reported marital troubles with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. Observers also noticed that another sibling, Sammy West, has unfollowed Sweezzy as well, suggesting the disagreement may extend beyond just the actress and her brother.
The situation has puzzled fans, particularly because Sweezzy and their mother, Rita Daniels, were previously outspoken in their support for Sammy West during his recent detention, repeatedly calling for his release.
This unfolding family strain is linked to events surrounding Sammy West’s arrest on November 6, 2025. He was apprehended in Lagos and later moved to Abuja following a petition allegedly submitted by Senator Ned Nwoko. The petition accused him of criminal conspiracy, assault, theft and cyberbullying. Sammy West was eventually granted bail on November 10, with conditions set at ₦5 million.
