Actress Rita Daniels and her husband have expressed gratitude to Nigerians after reuniting with their son, Sammy West, who was arrested in Lagos and flown to Abuja on the orders of Senator Ned Nwoko
In a selfie video recorded by actress Doris Ogala, Rita Daniels appeared beside her husband, visibly emotional as she repeatedly said “Thank you” to Nigerians for standing by their family during the ordeal.
The Daniels family had earlier raised alarm after Sammy’s wife claimed he was lured by a man posing as a real estate agent before being arrested and transferred to Abuja. The incident sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians demanding his immediate release and calling for justice.
Rita Daniels had also taken to social media days earlier to accuse Senator Ned Nwoko of using his political influence against her family following her daughter Regina Daniels’ decision to distance herself from him.
With the family now confirming that Sammy has been found and seen, Rita and her husband expressed deep appreciation to everyone who lent their voice, prayed, and advocated for their son’s safety, describing the public support as “overwhelming and unforgettable.”
