Two Nigerian singers, Rema and Asake have set new Afrobeats records
Asake won the 2024 GQ Global Creative Award being the first Afrobeat artist to clinch the award.
The excited singer shared a picture of the plaque via his Instagram story and tagged GQ
However, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ is nominated for “Best Hit International” at the 2024 Swiss Music Awards.
Calm Down became the first Nigerian/Afrobeats song to earn a Swiss Awards nomination.
