Pastor Tobi Adegboyega has responded to recent allegations being made online about SPAC Nation and some people associated with the church.
The pastor said he would normally not respond to such claims, but decided to speak after some of his friends became concerned about what was being said.
In a post he shared, he said:
“There is nothing to respond to. Like, this isn’t serious. But when something is serious, I will respond. This one I am responding because some of our friends will be worried.
“Just think about this: if you say someone does something in SPAC Nation, guys, go to the police, court, or shut up. If it is about using PT’s name and SPAC to catch clout and you sit there, throwing papers and documents, don’t be a weakling. Report those things to the police. I will be very happy to see someone who has done something wrong be dealt with.”
His response comes after fresh claims about SPAC Nation have been circulating online in recent days. One online investigator has alleged links between people associated with the church and individuals accused of shady operations and fr.aud in London.
Another recent allegation came from a UK-based woman who claimed she was repeatedly contacted and encouraged to join the church through events she said were presented as networking opportunities.
Former members have previously alleged financial exploitation, including claims that some young people were pressured to raise money through loans and other means. There were also allegations concerning safeguarding and the treatment of young members. SPAC Nation denied wrongdoing.
Adegboyega is now challenging anyone who believes a crime has been committed to report it to the police or take the matter to court.
