British TV presenter and journalist, Richard Madeley has shared that he and his wife Judy Finnigan sleep in separate beds when he’s working early mornings.
The couple, who met in the 80s at ITV Granada Television and married in 1986, discussed their arrangement on Kate Thornton’s ‘White Wine Question Time‘ podcast.
Richard explained that he opts for the spare room when he’s hosting ‘Good Morning Britain‘ to avoid disturbing Judy with his early wake-ups.
“When I’m doing ‘Good Morning Britain’ I sleep in the spare room,” he said.
Although he mentioned, “I do probably sleep a little bit better in bed with Judy, but I’m okay on my own.”
As for the idea of disturbing Judy’s rest, he added: “I wouldn’t think of doing that to Judy. Apart from anything else, Judy and her sleep, you do not mess with.”
