Acclaimed character actor Rip Torn has died at the age of 88. The actor ‘passed away peacefully (Tuesday afternoon) at his home in Lakeville, Connecticut… with his wife Amy Wright, and daughters Katie Torn and Angelica Page by his side,’ a representative for the actor announced.
Torn was known for his gruff-voiced characters who often threatened to steal the spotlight from higher-billed stars.
