The Rivers State House of Assembly will resume legislative sitting at 10am on Thursday
Reports indicate that the assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Hon. Martin Amaewhule, will convene at the Assembly Residential Complex along the Aba–Port Harcourt Expressway.
It was learned that the 27 lawmakers returned to the state several days before the expiration of the State of Emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu, which had temporarily suspended democratic governance in Rivers State.
As of press time, the lawmakers, already lodged at the residential complex, were preparing to hold their first sitting.
