Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart, set to turn 80 in January, has revealed plans to conclude his large-scale world tours, while emphatically stating he has no intention of fully retiring from music.

In an Instagram announcement on Wednesday, Stewart declared: “This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. I love what I do and I do what I love. I’m fit, have a full head of hair and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79.”

The “Maggie May” singer shared his vision for future performances, expressing interest in a more intimate touring approach.

“I’d like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not. The ambiguous Sir Rod Stewart,” he playfully added.

Stewart’s 2025 European and North American tour dates will mark the conclusion of his large-scale global tours, following the release of his album “Swing Fever” with Jools Holland earlier this year.Rock'n'pop legend, Rod Stewart announces end of large-scale world tours

Despite scaling back on massive international tours, the veteran rocker remains enthusiastic about his musical journey, demonstrating his continued passion and energy for performing.
