Actress Ronke Odusanya has opened up about her tumultuous marriage to Saheed Olarewaju, popularly known as Jago, in a conversation with colleague Bimpe Akintunde
Ronke revealed that a malicious friend misled her husband, falsely claiming she was unfaithful and had left their home to engage in an illicit relationship with a senator, even involving their daughter, Fife, in the fabricated story.
“This malicious tale led my husband to doubt me,” Ronke explained. “However, he later realized his mistake and acknowledged that he shouldn’t have listened to the false accusations.”
Ronke recounted her financial struggles after leaving her husband’s home, saying, “I had only N10,000 in my account and had to seek refuge with my brother.”
The couple’s marriage was also marred by a paternity dispute over their daughter. In February 2021, Saheed requested a DNA test in court, which was granted, but Ronke’s lawyer stipulated that Jago cover the DNA test fees.
However, in February 2022, Saheed publicly apologized for questioning their daughter’s paternity, affirming his love for her and attributing his past actions to misunderstandings.
