Singer Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, says his move to a solo career after the split of P-Square was not difficult because he was already handling most of the work behind the scenes.
According to the singer, his roles as the group’s producer, songwriter and vocalist made the transition easier.
He also explained that working alone gives him more freedom to make decisions about his music without having to answer to another member of a group.
Speaking during an interview, he said:
“Transitioning into a solo artist was less stressful for me. Because it was the same me that was doing everything in the group, with due respect.
“I am the producer, writer, and singer. So, moving as a group, it is still the same thing. As I said, being a solo artist is less stressful. Inasmuch as I have a team, nobody is going to question me. I have more creative control. It is easy for me.”
