Singer Runtown has responded after reports emerged that a Federal Capital Territory High Court upheld his 2016 recording agreement with Eric Many Records, the label owned by businessman Dilly Umenyiora.
Not long after the reports surfaced, the singer dismissed the claims and insisted he would not hand over access to his music catalogue after years of legal disputes with the label.
In a strongly worded post, he wrote:
“Back outside! So not going to let any agenda run… Mr Dilly, every year you try to deceive people with fake court orders… you think after 9 years, I’ll give you passwords and access to my catalogue?? lol nice try….. Keep trying!”.
The disagreement between Runtown and Eric Many Records has been ongoing for years, making this the latest twist in a dispute that dates back to their recording deal.
While the reported court decision says the agreement remains valid and binding, Runtown’s response suggests he does not accept that position, setting the stage for the legal battle to continue.
